WHAT IS ICHIKO BENTO?
Ichiko Bento is a monthly subscription box of beauty products and lifestyle accessories from Japan, Korea and Taiwan. Each month we curate a limited-edition box based around a seasonal theme. Inside you will find 5-7 different items from skincare to daily care items, makeup to cute stationery and more!
WHAT'S INSIDE ICHIKO BENTO?
All Classic Bentos come with 5 items, whilst our Deluxe Bentos come with 5 to 7 items.
In the Deluxe Bento you'll discover one skincare star item following the skincare regime, plus treatments, daily care items, tools, make-up, and lifestyle accessories such as Japanese and Korean stationery, jewellery, even homeware and tea!
In the Classic Bento you will receive a smaller skincare item, and a smaller or fewer amount of lifestyle goodies. Don’t worry - they will still pass our high standards!
WHICH BENTO SHOULD I CHOOSE?
We would like everyone to be able to experience Ichiko bento, so we offer two products to choose from. Our Deluxe Bento contains 5-7 items, including a full-sized skincare star item and either a higher value or higher quantity of lifestyle accessories. You can also choose your skincare item in our Deluxe Bento.
With our Classic Bento you will receive around 5 items but do not choose your skincare item and for example, you may receive a smaller or fewer lifestyle items.
The Classic Bento is ideal if you are on a budget or trying out Asian skincare, and the Deluxe Bento is perfect for the beauty lovers and those who want an extra treat.
WHEN CAN I ORDER?
Anytime! To receive our next box, first-time subscribers will need to order before the 8th of each month. For example, if you subscribe between April 9th - May 8th, you will receive our May box.
WHAT ABOUT SHIPPING?
Your Ichiko Bento will ship out around the 15th of every month. We send items out First Class in the UK and tracked everywhere else in the world.
WHEN WILL I BE CHARGED EACH MONTH?
If you subscribe to a month-to-month plan, you will be charged when you place your first order. From the next month onwards, you'll automatically be billed on the 23rd of each month.
When you order a prepaid plan, you will be charged when you place your order. You won't be charged again until your prepaid period finishes. You'll be charged for another prepaid term on the 23rd of the month you receive your last box. Prepaid subscriptions renew automatically, so be sure to cancel your subscription if you don't want it to renew! Each time a prepaid plan renews, you'll receive the discounted price.
WHAT ABOUT CANCELLATIONS AND REFUNDS?
Please note that orders cannot be refunded after the 23rd of that month due to stock preparation. This includes both month-to-month, prepaid and Gift subscriptions. Due to the surprise nature of the products we do not issue refunds unless items are damaged.
You can skip your subscription a month or two if you’re going away by simply logging into your account and going to ‘Edit Subscription’. You can also cancel your subscription here. This will cancel your subscription but not your current shipment. If you have signed up but want to cancel before receiving your first box, please email us before the 23rd for a refund.
Prepaid plans (3-month and 1-year) can be cancelled before they renew for another term from your account page. However, they cannot be refunded unless you email us asking for a refund before your first shipment. If you want to gift a Ichiko Bento prepaid subscription, you can cancel auto-renew at checkout.
If your order arrives damaged, please send us a photo and we'll send you a new item or refund the price of the item.
CAN I GIFT A SUBSCRIPTION?
Yes! An Ichiko Bento Gift Subscription would make a pretty lovely gift for anyone who loves beauty, cute things or Asian culture! We’ll make sure to include a handwritten note with their first box.
HOW ARE BOXES PRICED?
Our Deluxe Bento is £26 and our Classic Bento is £14. Postage is extra at £2.99 in the UK, and variable elsewhere according to your shipping country.
Your box will only contain high quality products sourced from Japan, Korea and Taiwan. Your Bento will always have great value compared to buying products at retail price, plus you will save the bother of expensive shipping, customs and taxes, depending where you are in the world!
WILL I NEED TO PAY CUSTOMS DUTIES OR TAX?
In most cases you shouldn't need to pay Customs Duties as our box should be below the threshold. If you are unsure, please check with us or your local Customs Office.
